Hello!
My name is Elena Tcherkas, and I have had an exciting career in various aspects of filmmaking and video production. My passion for storytelling has led me to explore various forms of media.
I received my master's degree in History from Moscow State University and an associate's degree in Journalism. I started my career as a reporter for TV networks in Russia, where I wrote, shot, and edited news, interviews, and reports. However, my love for creativity, including photography, art, and technology, always stayed with me.
In 2016, I moved to the United States to pursue my dream of becoming a filmmaker. I attended the Los Angeles Film School and earned a bachelor's degree in Digital Filmmaking, with a primary focus on video editing. Over the years, I have worked on a wide range of projects, including TV shows, digital platform videos, commercials, documentaries, music videos, and promotional videos. I have collaborated with both large and small production studios, and I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
As a filmmaker, I am dedicated to pushing creative boundaries and exploring new skills. I am currently honing my skills in 2D/3D animation and digital art, and I have been working on independent projects with my husband, Oleg Tcherkas, who is a cinematographer and colorist. In fact, we founded our own production company in 2023.
Aside from my professional pursuits, I am a devoted mother of two children. I balance my family life and work with passion and dedication.
